Wickedly Funny and Sexy

For starters I must sadly admit that a lot of what titles itself erotica is not really erotic, but dumb. It seems to miss the idea that if the writing is good, if the characters are actually approaching 3 dimensional, that the story is better and the sex is sexier.Luckily, Wendy Harris does know this and even luckier, her writing is engaging, amusing and quite sexy. There were points where I actually laughed out loud while I read this book. The characters are 3 dimensional, their interactions are engaging, the sex is hot (although sometimes frustrating and silly as she intends it to be) and the dialog is quite realistic.Pam has a giant millstone around her neck and her name is Janice. The two have been competing since preschool and now seem to be trapped at the same company, also competing for promotions. Of course, as this is erotica, the sexual antics ensue but lo and behold so does and actual story. Pam is witty and sharp and her asides about Janice are truly worth reading. The humor has that darker British feel, which I appreciate. If you are looking for more than "Insert tab A into slot B" type of erotica, give this book a look.

Red Hot Sex and Black Humour

A terrific combination of satirical comedy and sizzling passion in this fast racy novel whose heroine genuinely lives up to the title.Perhaps a little more of a black comedy than the The Wicked Stepdaughter but there's still plenty of slick one liners and some real funny scenes. Especially when the girls go out on the town and come up against some hookers. This is real down-to-earth British humor and it's obviously written for women because the sex scenes are more about hot passion than who-put-what-where.Great fun all round!

A RARE TREAT

This book is a rare treat - an erotic novel that entertains as well as titillates. There is passion and raunchiness of course but, in between, the author delights with some hilarious scenes and snappy, witty dialogue. The characters are colourful, flawed and believable and this felt like a book about real people.

BAD BOYS AND WICKED WOMEN

What I loved about this book is that though the men are absolute cads, the women are even worse. The title could well apply to several characters in the book but it's essentially a love story about two people of dubious character who are irresistibly attracted to one other.Pam is about as devious as a woman gets but Flynn is more than a match for her. How could any woman resist those 'wicked black eyes' of his? I couldn't!The rivalry between Janice and Pam provides some excellent comedy between the raunchy bits with some very funny put-downs. The language is not exactly ladylike and they are often outrageous but this is what makes the book so different. The women are treated by the author as being no different to men.I thoroughly enjoyed it.

A cracking good laugh

Janice and Pam are two well-educated professional women behaving badly. They are outrageously outspoken and immoral but it's all done with a wicked sense of humour. They are hilariously catty to one another and deliver some hair-raising one-liners that had me bellowing with laughter. Some might find them shocking but I found them funny. The book is a delightful break from the kind of erotica that takes itself too seriously. There are plenty of horny encounters but the thrust of the book is to entertain. I liked the idea of having an anti-heroine and all women love a ..., especially one as handsome as Flynn. As a broad-minded woman with a mucky sense of humour, I found it wonderfully different and enjoyed it very much.
