I'm an agronomist, than four stars

I read this good book, here in Brazil.Richard W. Oliver , the author of this good book, made a good work, writing this book. Even so, this book has some failures. To example, on page 109 the author writes:"The effforts aimed at "improving" the gene pool of humans, through, that came to be known as eugenics, were not so universally accepted.Eugenics enjoyed a brief spate of popularity in the United States and were favored by the rich and famous.Hitler's action to "cleanse" the German populace pretty much ended the eugenics movement in the middle of this century." In fact, the period of eugenics' popularity in yhe USA, wasn't "brief", but very long.American eugenics began in 1860 decade or even earlier and in fact, eugenics became on decadency in USA, during the Third Reich between the years 1933 and 1945.An american who was born in 1860 was 80 years old in 1940.And this very old man, had lived 100% of his life, under eugenics' popularity. Not only rich and famous americans were eugenics' supporters, but also rabins, pastors, politicians and general public.United States had the first eugenics law in 1907.Third Reich came only in 1933. The failures of this book really exists, but they are rare.Four stars for this book.
