The Second Time Was A Charm

This book is the sequel to Emma Darcy's "The Billionaire's Scandalous Marriage" which featured Charolette Ramsey and Damien Wynters. In this book we get to meet Peter Ramsey who is the brother of Charlotte and the best friend of Damien. I think Ms. Darcy might have listened to the reviews about the first book and took some of the comments to heart and really put some meat into this book. I loved the story of Peter and his love interest Erin Lavelle. This time around I didn't feel as if I could not relate or cheer for this couple's success. Although Peter was (Super Rich) and Erin was (Modestly Rich) you didn't get a sense that they we're unrealistic in their expectations of one another. I thought Erin was a sweetheart and I admired that she was independently wealthy financially as well as emotionally which you could see through the love she poured into the books she wrote. Peter was a better hero for me than his BFF Damien, because you got the sense that, he was geniune and above being snobby and super rich. The interactions between these two chararcters made for a sweet love story with a fairy tale aspect to it. I didn't feel as thought the hero came across as super alpha male and arrogant. Also the heroine wasn't whimpy and whiney, but a strong woman if some what reclusive. I think this is a good second attempt by the author and I would reccommend it has a quick read!!! Happy Reading !!!
