When ordered "Come Forth for Brains," did the writer(s) come fifth?

Solving puzzles can help prevent (or at least delay) onset of advanced-age dementia. Although chimpanzees might be trained to solve Soduko by substituting multi-colored jelly beans for numerals (assuming the jelly beans are not eaten first), effective Kakuro solution requires mastery of simple arithmetic. Effective solution of Logic Puzzles and Brainteasers requires mastery of mathematics of a higher order. If troubled thought patterns emerge from the writer(s) within the first dozen problems, what can one expect from the remaining hundred? Addressing elementary level readers does not justify writing from that level. Poor planning and insufficient data are bad. Incorrect answers (citing the writers' logic, or lack of it) are unacceptable. College "professors" teaching from lesson plans, often lacking in experience beyond sheltered, ivy-covered walls, ever learn that "Äll that is Gold does not Glitter" nor "All that is Perfectly Logical is not Accurate." Until his early death from complications of injuries sustained in a highway accident, more folks remember the legendary Steve Allen as "Steve-O-Rino" or "Mr. Entertainment" than as the author of over 50 titles. His 2002 "DUMBTH: With 101 Exercises to Think More Effectively" and his 1990-ish "DUMBTH: With 81 Exercises to Make Americans Smarter" (both excellent primers for budding desktop publishers) suggest Allen's vision of 21st century American Dumbth was astoundingly prophetic.
