Bible in Pictures

This is a great book for wee little ones Moms and Dads will enjoy showing and reading

Bible my toddler can hold and look at, with interest and joy

My husband and I use this toddler Bible for devotions with our son every morning and evening. Our son absolutely loves this Bible. After devotions, he grabs it from me and flips through all the pages, pointing at things and talking/babbling. The Bible is just right for him: small and light, with pages that wipe off easily and a soft, padded cover. This Bible has, of course, been simplified, but at least Ella gets it right: Jonah was swallowed by a big fish, not a whale! :-) Since it has been simplified, we don't stick to the text; we use our own words oftentimes (not always) to explain the Bible story. We use more complex language as our toddler grows. And we correct things like "Jesus Turns Water into Juice." We just say, "Jesus Turns Water into Wine." For this reason, I would not recommend this Bible for preschoolers, unless they understand that Daddy and Mommy are not actually reading the words on the page, because it would be confusing to youngsters learning to read. Also, I do wish that there were a few more Biblical accounts in this Bible. Our son is not quite 2 years old, and we've seem to run out of stories! But he loves the Bible anyway, and that gives him an early start in finding delight in the word of God. So, 4 stars from me.

Just what I've been searching for!!! So easy to understand!

I love this little Bible story book. I have a 2 yr old and a 3 yr old, and the Bible stories that I've had just can't keep their attention because they are too "over their heads." This one is just great. They are short and sweet for short attention spans. They capture the very heart of the message and put it just the way you would talk to a toddler. My 5 yr old niece came for a visit and got really excited about it also, because she could read it and understand it for herself. I definitely recommend!
