The American-born author is very familiar with both the Bible and the Quran. The author was the son of a Christian clergyman, but after traveling to Muslim-oriented Bangladesh the author apparently converted to Islam and took the Muslim name: Muhammad Nur. Later, he studied at Tehran University in Iran during the 1970s. Having studied both religious texts, the author reviews the controversy as to which son did the Prophet Abraham attempted to sacrifice on the alter: Ishmael (creating the future Islamic branch) or Isaac (the Jewish branch)? Which one was to have God's permission in "claiming" the Palestine region? The author concludes that it was Ishmael, and thereby supporting the Muslim claim of governing all of Palestine, and thereby abolishing the Jewish state of Israel. I won't go into all of the author's analysis, and I am not enough of an Abraham scholar to question the author's reasoning. One may disagree with the author's conclusion, nonetheless, I realize that this 142-page monograph is extremely well written from the Muslim perspective, and both Christian and Jewish scholars should read it to understand the Muslim claim to all of Palestine. This is the most exhaustive Muslim analysis that I have read regarding the Ishmael vs. Isaac sacrifice debate. (Besides the history of Abraham, the author also discusses other Biblical topics: Sarah, Moriah, Lot, Sodom & Gomorrah, Nimrod, Hud, and Saleh.)
