This title is broken down by categories, including herbs, vitamins, and minerals. The book provides a precise synopsis on the use and effect of supplements and much more. This description may be from another edition of this product.
Go to a natural health store, read the labels, and each supplement claims to be the absolute best one. Not only confusing, it's a turn-off because it also doesn't foster trust or a good understanding of what is out there, when it's effective, or who needs to take what and when. Wading through all the snake oil to find reputable, well-made, effective products is tough. This book (I read the 2002 edition) is written by the Willner pharms and an MD. I give them credit for remaining 100% objective with very minimal shilling of their own brand. They emphasize the basics (multivitamin and calcium) before branching out into supplement land. They helped me understand dosage, dosage timing, size, potency, sources, etc. And they help break through so much of the confusion around supplements. Very informative, well presented and well organized. I highly recommend.
Looked all over and here it is...
