Great novel

Set in the not-too-distant future, "The Believer" provides a chilling look at what might be and challenges the reader to ask "what would you risk to know the truth?" A masterful and gripping novel. I keep hoping for a sequel.

Excellent Sci-Fi Thriller

This is a great futuristic thriller about Ian, a young college teacher wanting to be able to live the morally correct life in a government controlled world. The action never stops and has you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. This novel gives you insights into how scary it would be if we had to read our scriptures in secret and have our lives in jeopardy. I can't wait for the sequel to come out. Way to go, cuz!!!!!

Thrilling right up to the end!

Ian lives in a world of chaos. The United States has split, leaving one half the way things have always been, and the other, named New America, as a carefully monitored, government controlled land where saying the wrong thing can be the end of you. Ian has always lived this way and for the most part, has accustomed himself to the strictness of his life, but then he happens upon some religious documents which change his life forever and he suddenly finds himself willing to do things he never dreamed in order to get the freedom to find the answers to his questions. And just when you think it's over and he's safe -- well, it's not over and he's not safe yet. It's a breathless ride through a world of confusion, and I loved every minute of it.
