Great Reading !!! But feel Betrayed

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading both books in this series - Book 1: The Beginning of Sorrows and Book 2: Fallen Stars, Bitter Waters. The characters are wonderful and well written. I have been politley harrassing the neighborhood bookstores in search of the third in the trilogy. Only now to find out that the publishers are betraying their readers by deciding to not release the final book. I think it is dispicable on the part of the publishers for not releasing the third and final book of this trilogy. With the End Times seeming to be looming before us even more now than ever, I would hope that the publishers and authors of end times novels would realize the overwhelming interest in God inspiring literature, and realize the reponsibility that they have to readers that are seeking inspiration and answers to their own questions about God's love.

This Is A Great Book, But,

This book and the second book in this Omega Trilogy are very good christian books. There's just one big problem, you can't get the third book because it was cancelled. I don't know why the Morris' decided to do this, but I don't think anyone should be selling the first two without telling everyone about the third.

Slow going at first, but don't be deceived!

This book opens very slowly, but when the action begins, it doesn't stop. You then realize that the opening of the book is needed to balance the pace of the latter part. The characters are strong, complex, and believable; the writing is an unusual style, but evolves nicely. I have thoroughly enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it, especially to fans of the Left Behind series.

A Non Preachy Novel That Is Built For The Edge of Your Seat

Gilbert Morris and his writing partners have created a real-feeling atmosphere for this novel. They introduce genetically engineered humans without typical science fiction techno-speak, keeping to an intelligent prose without losing us in DNA babble. The characters are by and large normals, not GEH's; They have adult relationships, not guilt-ridden regrets or sudden ephipinies of spiritual insight. I really like these genuine people type characters, and the Morris clan develops them with purpose. The people in power are weird enough to be completely believable, in light of Modern politics and Media creation madness. The military technology is fascinating and the soldiers hit the mark dead center bullseye. As events develop you will begin to read faster, hungry for every word. The storyline is familiar, but the telling is what makes the thing. I found myself reminded at times of Frank Herbert's weird HELLSTROMS HIVE; and at others, Stephen King's THE STAND. Make no mistake, though, This is part one of a trilogy by Gilbert Morris and Co. I will hold on to my copies of these works and continue to recommend them with confidence to my Christian and Non-Christian friends. Keep them coming, friend Gilbert.

Great Visionary!

This book was a little difficult to follow at first. However, once I was entraped it was difficult to put down. The fact that these things could really happen is frightening. It makes me thankful to be a Christian and know that God is still ultimately in control.
