Excellent History But Missing Parts

Fine layperson (no math just narrative) historical background. One of the best summaries of cosmology bubbling up that I have read. But to me, any science book needs either References section or Bibliography or Further Reading. This edition has no footnotes or anything more than a passing reference to other scientists by name. Furthermore the seminal work ENDLESS UNIVERSE was published over ten years earlier, but I don't find update to include Cyclical Universe model discussion. That seems a big hole for any cosmology book published in 2018. Good primer for the nonscientist but big holes in the acknowledgements section missing and no mention of Steinhardt or Turok who put their model out there over a decade before this was published.
