Paperback is nice

I bought the paperback, surprised by the low price, and was pleased that it's large (8 1/2 x 11) and full of color pictures of both the food and the B & B rooms: it must be just like the hardback except for the cover. A great value, even if nutrition data (calories, fat, etc.) are not included and it's slightly dated (1991). Can't wait to try the recipes - they look great.

A wonderful cookbook & B & B guide

This is both a wonderful cookbook & a great reference on American B & B's. It contains over 300 recipes. It is printed on glossy stock with many full-color photos & b/w illustration of the B & Bs.A wide variety of recipes include beverages, cereals, pancakes, waffles, French toast, vegetables, egg dishes, breads, coffee cakes, pastries, jellies, sauces, sandwiches, sweets & breakfast meats. The chocolate waffles, apple French toast with cream cheese, & sour cream raisin pie are all divine. An easier to make cheese souffle is another favorite. I also loved the orange julius beverage & lobster quiche.Each recipe is accompanied by description of the B & B with contact information. B & Bs are also listed in the index & by state in the back. Reservation agencies & a list of other guidebooks are included as well.
