At the time, First book to Straighten out the Beatles mess

Maybe, as other reviewers stated, there are some inacuracies. However, back in 1987, this was the book that told me what Beatles records to buy and what to avoid. Stupidly, I went out and bought the Beatles on cassette...which Capitol butchered. But the book tells a good story through each of the albums on the history of the Beatles. It talks about what were the correct cds to buy (the UK) and what to avoid (The american) There was no internet back then. I had one music clerk telling me Hey Jude was a real album (It was, but it was part of the American albums) Even the Rolling Stones Record Guide from 1982 barley mentions to get the first 4 from the UK. So thank you Mr. Russell for correctly introducing me to the beatles. At this point the book needs to be updated.
