This story follows Evie - the black sheep of her family, as she takes over ownership of her aunt's Beach cafe after her untimely death. While is does have a bit of romance in it, the book is not solely a romance. Infact I don't think the romance really starts becoming a thing until about 2/3 of the way into the book. Its more about self-discovery, coming into your own, and a sense of community and belonging. Its a pretty great beach/summer read, though I don't think it needed to be as long as it was. I would still recommend if you need something to keep you busy over summer.
