I'm surprised this gem hasn't gotten any reviews. An excellent book on how to compose images, featuring sound instruction from the author (himself an illustrator), and quotes and examples from numerous great illustrators -- Fawcett, Parker, Peak, Briggs, Fuchs, etc. As a professional illustrator, I'm always on the lookout for advanced, insightful books on composition, and though I'm still working through this one, it's already among my favorites. Any fan of the Loomis books or the Famous Artists course will love this book. But I'd recommend the hardcover. I bought the paperback, and given the page-count and the use I expect to put it through, I'm worried that the pages will start falling out.
