A must read

A must read for your financial and mental well being. An enjoyable reading packed with insightful information, that will help you to evaluate your priorities and put them in the the proper perspective. In response to the quote, "This life is a test- it is only a test. If it had been an actual life you would have received further instructions on where to go and what to do." These are the instructions!!!

Read it, mark it up, use it, and refer back to it! It's a book and a tool.

Good reading, a financial action guide, a well rounded collection of helpful information are just a few of the ways to describe The Banker and The Fisherman. Most importantly, when you read this book, have handy, a highlighter, Post It Notes, and or page flags because if you're serious about making sure your financial life is in order, you're going to want to refer back to specific sections. The Authors present a series of situations and cover a number of topics in a manner that empowers the reader to challenge their own state of financial and investment affairs, and provide just enough background history to support their ideas without attempting to make everyone reader a Certified Financial Planner. Upon completion of The Banker and The Fisherman the reader will have a number of calls to action: * If you currently work with a Registered Investment Advisor you'll know what questions to ask to ensure your portfolio is well poised for the turbulent economic client we're currently experiencing. * If you handle your own investments, you'll be able to execute your decisions with a higher degree of confidence. * If you're a parent concerned about your children's future, discussing the ideas covered in the book may have a huge impact on their future relationships with money, the importance of saving and proper investing. One suggestion made by the Authors that had the most impact was the simple concept of "not waiting for a crisis to arise before making a plan and taking action." If you think that idea has merit then The Banker and The Fisherman is a must read.

YOUR MONEY OR YOUR LIFE

This famous line, used 50 years ago in a Jack Benny skit, is more than apropos to describe the basis for this wonderfully written book. The Roges suggest in the Banker and the Fisherman that it's not the money or your life - it's the money and your life! It suggests a healthy lifestyle that includes a set of personal values in conjunction with the successful management of your money. READ IT - YOU WON'T REGRET IT!

"Dig your well before you're thirsty" -- But invest in this book first!

Yogi Berra once said "I think a lot about the future -- because that's where I plan to spend the rest of my life." Unfortunately, not enough people in these turbulant financial times do -- or at least do it properly. A quick scan of the financial pages tells the sad story: millions of Americans are either unwilling, unable or just too scared to put their financial lifes in order. Yes,it can be a scary, confusing and daunting safari into your personal financial jungle, but Ronald Roge's "The Banker and the Fisherman" is a candid, extremely informative and unexpectedly enjoyable tutorial covering the basics of how to build a sound financial foundation -- for you, your family and the ones you love. Roge's unbiased, unflinching financial look into our futures -- most of us will live to be (gulp) 100 -- covers everything from savings, investment strategies and retirement to properly handling your estate and financial geriatrics. Before you spend thousands or more on your financial future, invest $21.95 (plus shipping) in this excellent book. I'm glad I did!

more than just money

THERE IS MORE THAN JUST MAKING MONEY IN LIFE. THIS SHOWS THAT, BUT ALSO IT IS ABOUT MAKING MONEY AND HOW TO KEEP IT. A NICE READ..
