If you value the First Amendment, this book is a must

Boghosian, Executive Director of the National Lawyers Guild and the co-host of the civil liberties radio show "Law and Disorder" on WBAI in New York describes describes how why, and where civil liberties have been threatened since 9/11. This book contains valuable information for any student of the First Amendment. A must read for all of us who value free speech and peaceful protests.

Attacks on the First Amendment: The Details

This is an excellent detailed summary of many of the ways that governments (local and national) have curtailed the protections of protestors and the public under the First Amendment, particularly since 9-11. Pre-protest media hyperscaring about anarchists, attempts to deny permits, police intimidation at protests, mass arrests, unreasonable bonds, and national data bases of protestors are all covered. The National Lawyers Guild, which has helped fight many of the battles described in the book, has done a great service by publishing this report.
