Published by walter Ko , 4 years ago
Charlotte writes this interesting tour book to find answers. It is a wonderful reading to go along with her and husband Dave through the Rocky Mountains for them.
The photos and text with supporting materials are impressive. Out of curiosity on her father's ancient maps, the Chinese Shan Hai Jing (Classic of the Mountains and the Seas), and Henriette Mertz's Pale Ink, renewed title Gods from the Far East: How the Chinese Discovered America, she wants to make the trip to independently verify. She writes without a dull moment with many background materials from the National Park Services.
In 19th Century America, US government were of the opinion that Native Americans were of Mongolian group, so the same law applied to the Chinese who came for the Gold Rush.
She builds a strong case with her conclusions and endnotes to support. The book Asiatic Echoes by Dr. John Ruskamp showed in Native American Rock Art with Oracle Bone characters from the Chinese Shang Dynasty. Another book: Native Times, by Dr Francis Lee (Native American author) claims that 4500 years ago, Hopi and other Native Peoples across Turtle Island are visited by Ta-Chang and Shu-Hai, assistants of Great Yu of China, who had sent them to survey the world (p.12)
