An amazing display of the Art of Illumination!

I had purchased Mrs. Carter's "Illuminated Alphabets" and was impressed by the beauty of her work. When I saw this book, I ordered it and also the book "Illuminated Calligraphy" by Mrs. Carter. This book combines the information of the two books that I had already purchased individually. It packed full of beautiful examples of border designs, versals, and illuminated letters. All three books discuss gilding. If you have the other two, don't bother getting this one. . .
