The tales of the Drive-by Art Gallery 1981-1986 are stories of the artists, their art, and their interaction with the city authorities. The Art Dock was a street art gallery in the loading dock of the loft of Carlton Davis. First it was controversial, then it became a community gallery, and one of the highlights of art in LA during the 1984 Olympics. At its end the Art Dock tried to become business with humorous results.
