Beautiful, visionary, and intimate

I love the way science is tied in with such a powerful vision for our future - one in which people have faith in each other and nuclear war is obsolete. The characters are deep and real, as if the reader knows them personally. The author brilliantly addresses the bigger picture while also looking at love in an intensely intimate and touching way. This is an amazing book that I know I'll reread over and over throughout my life.

truly inspirational

This novel was well written and a great read, but even more it spoke to me. It was a novel of hope and it portrays so poignantly the beauty inherent in humanity. It made me cry and inspired me not to give up on the world, specifically our country.

Compelling!

This book has it all! A historical fiction novel that inspires one to remember that we, as a world community, need to look at the past & learn from it...that we CAN have visions/dreams of a greater society and that women have/can/should take a major role in doing so. I loved that there are 3 stories/characters intertwined...this kept me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next & how they were all going to come together. I would highly recommend everyone to read this book. It is written beautifully & will entice all types readers!

Best book I have read this year!

This is the best book I have read this year. This is not for the intellectually feeble and written in a way that today's reader rarely gets the privilege of reading. The journey Gloria, the protagonist, takes is transformational, historical, and mind opening. The author writes with a depth and rawness that makes me feel like I have found a new up and coming writer!

This book is utterly amazing!

This book takes you on such an incredible journey. I'd literally be lying in my bed reading on the edge of my seat. It's an epic novel that explores the condition of society from the 1940's to present day. The character depth and exploration was fantastic. I love, love, love this book! It's the best book I've read in the past ten years. I've already read it twice and am thinking about a third time. I think the author is going to become very famous very soon with this wonderful novel.
