The Answer Is Prayer

I was able to get hold of this back and it has changed how I pray and how I perceive prayer. Pastor Venden asked every question I have had about prayer for over 40 years and could not find an adequate answer. Then, he gave an answer to each question, basing his answers on Scripture. Finally, after all these years, I have some understanding of prayer--what it means to me, to those I pray for, and to God Himself.Particularly moving to me was the chapter entitled "Healing" where Venden describes his own dilemma of praying for the healing of his mentally impaired daughter. His experience and his insights on why sometimes God says "no" were so important for me and my wife because we, too, have a neurologically impaired twelve-year old daughter.I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to gain a new perspective on prayer, to enrich and energize their prayer life.
