Beautiful, Breathtaking New Mexico

This is the best book yet of the Forbidden Doors Series! In this book, Z sends Becka, Scott, Mom, and Ryan to New Mexico to spread the truth to a tribe of Native Americans who believe in ancient spirits and myths. I enjoyed this book because of the spiritual warfare, reminding us Who really has the power, and of forgiveness. The Christianity in this book is really encouraging. I also enjoyed this book because of the cozy family. This is one awesome Christian family. They are so full of love for each other and for others. Also, the book was enjoyable because of the majestic New Mexico land. I could just imagine how beautiful and breathtaking the scenery was. The Christian quad camped out, and since I am a nature lover, I found the book to be so cozy; the characters camped out in nature in such a beautiful state as New Mexico. (I also loved the last Forbidden Doors book, where they were in Los Angeles, staying in a fabulous five-star hotel - that was cozy, too! Now, camping out in nature, they are going from one extreme to another.) The village in which they go to minister is very remote and can't even be reached by automobile. They could only be taken so far in a car, and then they had to walk the rest of the way. A general store is mentioned (that is where Scott hooks up the computer to talk to Z), and I guess that is where they get hamburgers, hotdogs, sausage, eggs, and milk. They grilled out for each of their meals (which I found to be a really cozy aspect of this book). I do have two interesting curiosities, though. I don't know if these are flaws in the book (but even if they are, it is not enough to take away a star - especially after how good the book was). Anyway, here are my two curiosities: 1 - Since the village is so remote and can't be reached by automobile, how does the general store get supplies? I was wondering how they got hamburgers, hotdogs, milk, etc. I doubt if this village has a processing plant that makes hotdogs. They might, however, have cows that could produce the hamburgers and milk. Or, possibly, a helicopter brings in supplies. 2 - Since it is so dry (this book tells that they are in a drought and haven't had rain in a while), isn't it too dangerous to grill out? Anyway, I enjoyed this trip to New Mexico, the encouragement, and the coziness. If someone doesn't want to read the whole series, but just one book, this book would be the one I would recommend. Five Stars aren't enough. Highly recommended.

awesome read

hi, this is an awesome book for anyone of all ages and religous backgrounds. i own the entire series and love them all. they're very inspirational and remind me of how powerful the Lord is when i have a problem. has anyone heard anything about another book(#11)?? if so let me know. thanks

Definitely 5-stars, all the way!

What a book! Man, Bill Myers sure knows how to pack everything a Christian teenager needs to know in one book. This book is definitely the best of all the Forbidden Doors series. (I've read them all.) It has spiritual warfare, humor, heavy-duty prayer, plus tons of other stuff. Definitely 5 stars, all the way!

More?

I love the Forbidden Doors books. They are very action packed, (I can't put them down) and I learn a lot from them. But the last book gave the impression that another book in the series was coming. Is there going to be a number 11? I hope so! :)
