Beautiful!

This is one of my favorite books. The illustrations are absolutely beautiful - I am a printmaker, and I love to look to it for inspiration. There isn't much information in the book; this certainly isn't a reference book. But looking at the old prints in it, much like looking at Gray's Anatomy, is a joy.

Exquisite illustrations/woodcuts, very informative

This is a beautiful text which is easy to read and reference. I've learned a lot from it. It's made for those who love books and the craftsmanship of publishing, not for those seeking colorful photographs.
