A Superior Teaching Tool

I've been a hobbyist for many decades, using leather, metal, woodworking, and now woodburning. I consider myself fortunate to have Mr.Boyer's book at my side. I've spent more money on how-to books than I care to talk about, most of which are generally are nothing more than plagerisms of some one else's work. Mr. Boyer's approach to the craft is original, provides balance as well as technical advice. And...the guy actually has answered a couple of questions for me on line. Do I care that he has a point of view about equipment? Not at all. Saved me a lot of money and time screwing around with what doesn't work.

Robert Boyer's book: The Amazing Art of Pyrography is great!

If any readers want to have the most complete book on pyrography you could not do any better than Boyer's book. It is a luscious book- a 'coffee table book' if you will, on the subject of pyrography. The photographs are great- you won't believe some of the things are wood burnings. His illustrations are clear and the text is to the point.

The Most Comprehensive Pyrographic Book!

I have purchased the "Amazing Art of Pyrography", and I must say that it truly is the most comprehensive book on the subject of pyrography. Mr. Boyer discribes in great detail the different media to which woodburning can be implemented. The electronic pyrographic burning system can be used on wood, leather, buckskin, plastic, tree fungus, wooden eggs, gourds, velvet, etc. This truly is the finest "how-to" book for this timeless art.I also read Al Chapman's book on pyrography, and he states that Robert Boyer is the "grandfather" of pyrography!
