A reconstruction of the Alger Hiss trial, using testimony from edited transcripts of the trial, during which the reader can assume the role of juror. This description may be from another edition of this product.
Doreen Rappaport did a superb job on this one. It is incredibly non-biased, though it leans from side to side. One minute it convinces you that Alger Hiss was guilty, and the next you're positive that he was guilty. Its amazing (and a little scary) that this trial is still contraversial, even though Hiss died in 1997. All in all, a very good book. I recomend it.
