Professor Rubenstein was my most fascinating and challenging professor at FSU during the 1970s. His range of intellectual inquiry makes him a "Renaissance" man. He has written numerous provocative and important books. And I am re-reading the books thirty plus years later.
A Wider View of Genocide

I found this book to be a remarkable look at the history of the destruction of unwanted populations. It looks at events as diverse as the Holocaust, the Irish Famine and the Enclosure Movement in Tudor England. The section on the history of the Jews in Europe is particularly informative. It is a fascinating and compassionate history of persecuted and unwanted populations. This book is highly recommended.
