Near term economics, an alternate view to that of Alan Greenspan

The book is well written. The author does a very good job of not only presenting his case, but also of defining his reasoning for his point of view on the subject.
Douglas N. Thompson for President

It is interesting where true wisdom comes from. But in my life of 70 years, and 41 years as a Professional Financial Strategist and money manager, I have only read a handful of books that were able to truly see under the Chaff and see the real Wheat. Most popular books simply write what people already believe, and they love to have their intelligence verified. Douglas N. Thompson sent me his prior book "The Real New Economy" in 2003, and it was truly visionary. I could see a wisdom that not only interpreted economic genius, but also the human psyche. Well he has done it again--in spades. This 92-year old retired Professor of Economics from University of Utah, has written this 177 page book that delineates the problems of this world, but rather than cast them in a life-ending mode, he describes why these "learning" experiences are now growing a more mature, and wiser Capitalistic society that understands the need for effective Social Services. His solutions and and visions for Democracy, America, and Capitalism are non-political and exciting. I am ordering 70 copies to begin with, and pleading with my friends to read this gospel of vision about today's world. I have never spoken to, or had any financial dealings with Douglas N. Thompson or his organization. My only contact has been the process of ordering my copies, and thanking him for sharing his pearls of insight. I encourage you to buy multiple copies. You will want to share with your friends.
