Tom Sawyer - What A Character!

Mark Twain created one memorable character with Tom Sawyer. That boy gets into everything and causes all sorts of trouble. Reading this novel really brings back memories of what it was like being a kid because there seems to be some bit of Tom Sawyer in all of us. Tom is a troublemaker in some respects but he is always very likeable. His friend Huckleberry Finn is probably even more likeable and pitiful. They get into one crazy adventure after another. Highly recommended!

A True American Classic

This is simply one of the most mystifying tales that I have laid eyes upon, making the long story worthy of its five star rating. This historical fiction has everything I'd look for in a book and so much more. Mark Twain has included action, mystery, romance, and even comedy. "Tom Sawyer" is on par with the work of Homer's Iliad and the Odyssey, and deserves it place in history. The vivid descriptions in the story make the characters seem real, and makes the back hills of Missouri come alive. The plot never gets dull, and it even gets more exciting as the story goes on. The book is told through the eyes of a child, increasing the interest of the book. Everything seems filled with danger, and every odd and end is a treasure to behold. If you want a story that will enchant your every emotion, and makes you feel like you were just a child, pick up "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" by Mark Twain. You won't be disappointed. -Jason

Twain Brings the life of Tom Sawyer to Life

Tom Sawyer is the story of a 12-year old boy living up to the exception of being a kid. It is a book that is great for all ages, including adults. No matter what kind of personality you have you will enjoy it. The story is about Tom's adventures and his trickery that gets him into trouble, and out of it. Weather he's painting fences or using his imagination he always seems to have fun. Along the way he teams up with Huck Finn, the rambunctious town outcast. They are always planning new schemes, such as curing warts with dead cats or running away and becoming pirates, yet know of their adventures are as big as their mishaps with Inguin Joe, the town criminal. Tom is also always getting into trouble at school, weather he is really to blame or not. Somehow Tom always gets out of doing non-enjoyable things, like when is supposed to take painkiller but instead feeds it to the cat. All this while searching for hidden treasure. This book taught me how to be a kid, which is now more than ever. Also, Tom sawyer taught me what it was like to be a kid with out the pressures of being a kid in this day and age. A time when it wasn't excepted of you to be well mannered, responsible, or an intelligent young adult. Tom sawyer is a delightful read for all ages.

Excellent reading material

This collection of three Tom Sawyer stories keeps the reader laughing and entertained and eager to see what mischief Tom is going to get into next. Mark Twain is a wonderful writer and his stories reach out to the young and old alike. If you're looking for a few hours of escape from the real world, I suggest you find it in the pages of this book.

This Book was alright.

This book is a humorous and enjoyable book. I liked the way the author made Tom a little rebel. Tom also did whatever he wanted when he wanted. He made his Aunt Polly disipointed in him all the time. He never really told the whole truth to anyone, about anything. If someone asked him a question, he would tell only some of the truth or stretch the answer a little bit. Tom and Huck made a good combo. They had the same intrests and were daring in everything that they did. I liked the book I would have to say that it is a must read on everyones list. The author is awsome and made the book fun and enjoyable to read. I can't wait to read another Mark Twain book.
