I Love Robin Hood

Arrived on schedule in,very good condition. I especially enjoyed all the illustrations in this hardback version. I have seen several versions of the movie, but this is my first time actually reading the story.

A Keepsake Treasure

This popular version of the tale of highwayman Robin Hood is artfully written, and can be easily appreciated by adults as well as youngsters. The text is colorfully rendered, and the story is as fresh as when the first odes celebrating this infamous character were penned. Of the many versions I have read, Roger Lancelyn Green's remains my favorite. Apparently, many others must think so; this edition has been in print since 1956. However, the absolute icing on the cake in owning this edition are the exqusite illustrations by noted illustrator Walter Crane. The endpapers featuring silhouettes by E.H. Shepard are also charming. Whether you buy this book for the wonderful text, the fine illustrations, or the fact that it retains its antique look, you will not be disappointed.

Wonderful book!!

This is a truly wonderful book. Green makes everything seem so real, I actually cried in the end, and in a few parts I laughed out loud and ran to tell my sister about it. When I was reaching the end half of me almost made me put the book down and do something else so it would last longer, but the other half wouldn't let me, because the book was so exiting and I had to find out what happens next! Scince I own this book I know I am going to read it again and again! This is a really great book about Robin Hood!!!

A Book Good Enough to Eat

This book had included the beginning of how Robin Hood had come to be and how the legend of Robin Hood had ended. This was by far the best Robin Hood book that I've ever read.

Perfect for Adventure-loving kids.

I read this book when I was a kid, and I can't recommend it highly enough to parents and kids who are looking for classic high adventure. It's timeless, yet provides good role models for boys (Robin Hood was the original cool do-gooder) and for girls, since Roger Greene's Maid Marian is more than a match for Robin with sword and bow and arrow.
