a great talent

Adrienne Kennedy's plays are wonderful. She writes about her personal experiences, which therefore tend to provide some historical insight about the people, places, and events she writes about, so there is a sense of reliving a time and place. That connection to the past is juxtaposed with a unique writing style that seems ahead of its time.
