The Adrantha Chronicles - 729 Alh'Shire In Times of TyrannyThe Adrantha Chronicles are a set of short stories centered primarily] around the fictitious country of Adrantha; yet involving the entire world of Alh Arth. However, the fact that this is not Earth does not play a central role within the stories; it's just not Earth, that's all. The continent of Hellan, consisting of six nations is to the north, with the Zorgin States to the west. To the east are the Barrier Islands, and east of this north/south running chain of islands is the Beyond. To the west of the Zorgin States is said to be a continent the Zorgini refer to as Kih'ran; travel to this land is forbidden - even for the Zorgini. Zorgini mythology claims the continent as the birthplace of men and women, brought to the world for the contentment of horses. While the settings are fictitious, the feel is, for Adrantha, based loosely upon the Victorian English era in many ways, and, similarly, old Arabia for the Zorgin States. The possibilities for stories are endless. We can explore our nation's people going to war as easily as we can explore the everyday world of a regular family. The Adrantha Chronicles books are, as I would like to view them, a literary equivalent of the progressive rock genre's 'concept album'. I have decided upon a paperback edition only - as this was not possible with an ebook - I have chosen fonts indicative of handwriting, no page numbers and I have not set the text to justified because I wanted these books to present as if they have been handwritten by some stinky little hermit dedicated to two things: self-exile in a damp cave somewhere out in the boondocks, and the writing of a set of ancient chronicles. This is also why there is no text on the spine or back cover of the book as well.
