Great for a christain woman when God seems so far

This book will re-energize the faith any christain woman who has been on her knees for long praying, and at some point asked "why God seems so far...?" The book explained that at this point, God is truly near and faithful no matter the pain of infertility.

A Godsend to those going through the hurdles of infertility

More than any other publication regarding infertility - Bridwell speaks from her heart and at times I felt as if she were speaking from mine. Bridwell not only describes her challenges and triumphs, but also focuses on how family and friends may offer support to a couple going through infertility. My husband and I have given copies of this book to our family members and closest friends - so that they may truly have a glimpse of what we are going through.

This is a great book for those dealing with infertility.

What a wonderful book to read to get the Christian perspective on infertility. This book presents the moral dilemas and offers questions to determine your true feelings. I really enjoy the Bible passages that relate to each chapter. This is a must read for Christians experiencing infertility. It's a tough book to put down. Good luck on your journey.

The BEST infertility book I've ever read!

This is the best infertility book I've ever read. It dealt with subjects that other infertility books don't touch. I really appreciated the chapters devoted to the spiritual and emotional aspects of infertility as well as the different perspectives that men and women have on this issue. I had never thought about the moral and ethic issues that going through infertility treatment come with and the need to have a biblical based decision as to what you as a couple are going to do - go ahead or wait. This is an execellent book for family and friends who know someone who is going through infertiltiy, miscarriage or pregnancy loss. I high recommend this book. It's consise, informative and relavent to today's infertitliy issues. Thank you Ms. Bridwell!

*Best* book on INFERTILITY and PREGNANCY LOSS on the market!

As director of a national infertility and pregnancy loss support organization, I have personally read well over 100 books on these topics. Of all of these books, a handfull stand out in my mind as being "excelent". _The Ache for a Child_ tops even that list of outstanding books as #1 in my mind! ~~~ Written from a Christian perspective, this book offers great hope and incredible insight into the emotional side of pregnancy loss and infertility. It takes a candid look into the the moral, ethical, medical, and even spiritual stuggles that infertilie couples face. Issues are addressed from the compassionate view-point of someone who has "been there" and "walked in the shoes" of her readers who are now facing their own monumental decisions and heartache. ~~~ This book has dramatically influenced my life and I know it has encouraged countless others! I do not hesitate to give it my highest recommendation! Debra Bridwell's realistic picture of the pain caused by the inability to bear a child can also be very helpful to the families, friends, pastors, and associates of those facing these challenges. Her insight comes from years of personal expierence with both primary and secondary infertiliy and the miscarriage of one child. ~~~ ~Jenni~ Director of ~Hannah's Prayer~
