This book is a great page turner

Once I started this book I was drawn into the story and could not put it down. Ray Flynn and Robin Moore write so you want to find out what is going to happen next. Even those who do not know Ray Flynn was Mayor of Boston and U.S. Ambassador to the Vatican will enjoy this book. The Accidental Pope reads like a good mystery.

Fantastic Reading

This is truly a great book to read. Provides lots of insight to the Vatican and the State Department. A very warm and loving novel about the workings of the Catholic Church, family and politics. Ray Flynn and Robin Moore have outdone themselves with this publication. Also, would make a wonderful Christmas gift for everyday readers.

Makes a GREAT Christmas Present!

This is an INCREDIBLE book, I recommend that everyone should get a copy and read it! It is the what-if tale of a layman becoming pope!Ray makes it seem as if I am there, the characters are lively and the plot seems real! I was up very late, trying to finish this, and it was worth missing my early class the next day! ;-)

The Accidental Pope

Ambassador Flynn and Robin Moore have written a great book! There is a full range of human emotion - from laughter to sorrow - contained within its pages as the reader comes to know and care about Pope Bill Kelly and family. What at first seems wholly unrealistic (an American Pope!) easily become realistic as the story progresses. It also contains insightful observation about the Vatican and the State Department. Through these observations, the reader learns a lot about Ambassador Flynn, thinly veiled in the character of Ambassador Kirby. This book is a great (and quick) read as well as an adventure for anyone who has an interest in politics, the Catholic Church or simply enjoys a well-written story.
