This might be considered an 'old hat' weightloss book, since it was written in the late 1970s but it is written by a doctor specializing in the dietary field - he knows what he's talking about! This book doesn't lecture or talk down about being heavy, it gives honest, forthright information, and support to help you lose weight quickly and safely. There are no intricate calorie counting or extreme weighing of food in the menus but measurements that are easily done with a kitchen measuring cup. Each of the nine days have several menus encompassing breakfast, lunch and supper that are varied enough to keep them appetizing, interesting, and are family friendly...you don't have to buy specialty food for yourself and food for others that share your table as well. It's quality and quantity that will take the weight off as proven with this book. I personally have used this book to lose weight without discomfort by following the menus and walking for exercise. Once in a while, I'll do it for a 9 day cycle if I need to trim off 5 to 10 sneaky pounds. It's that simple to use for ocassional weight maintenance as well.
