My flight planning and travel Bible

The $100 Hamburger has been a primary resource for my flight planning. I use this book in conjunction with John's web site to plan my flights. The book has saved me hundreds of dollars in car rentals. It has protected my stomach from indigestion that comes from vending machine food. Every pilot needs to know which airports have easy access to good food. I don't leave the ground without it! 12/21/05 Clearly things change. Books can't stay up to date every day. I stand by John's book. If you have currency issues, then visit the supporting web site. He keeps a very up to date webpage that fulfills the upto date wishes. You should check it out. You should provide these inputs to the web page.

Those reveiws are valid for the 1st Edition but not the 2nd. A MUST HAVE FOR ALL PILOTS

This book is perfect to plan a fun outing in the plane and get some good food too. It is the only book of it's kind out there. People are complaining about not getting restaurant updates like Jeppessen does with their charts. Well think about how often a new restaurant is built on a field. Rarely does this happen and if it's nearby you'll hear about at your local FBO. So go ahead and tough it out and pick up a copy. It is well worth it.

Very Good Guide but needs some updating.

I purchased this book about 6 months ago and have been able to use it when flying all over Florida with my wife. Several of the cafe's have changed names but were well worth visiting. The only drawback is a lack of directions at most fields exept "ask ground, they will give you progressive taxi to the parking area". This is fine for a small airport but is inconvient for a large airport and sometimes does not work at all, especially with CTAF. I have also used the book in my travels throughout the US and it has come in hady on several occasions. In all, a good guide.

Where do you want to fly for lunch?

A LONG OVER-DUE COVERAGE OF THOSE PLACES A PRIVATE PILOT CAN GO FOR A SNACK (MEAL) ON A LOVELY VFR DAY IN THE SUMMER. NO ONE HAS ACCOMPLISHED THIS BEFORE AND IT WILL CERTAINLY ENCOURAGE THOSE WHO DON'T KNOW WHERE TO GO ON A BEAUTIFUL SUNDAY TO GAS UP AND HEAD OUT!!! GREAT FOR THE PRIVATE PILOT LOKING FOR A GASTRONOMIC DESTINATION.I RATE IT FOUR HAMBURGERS.
