Such pleasure watching my children's faces.

I have three teenagers. This book has helped me gain parenting skills I never knew existed. An excellent manual for parenting that is as engaging to read as a novel. The "10 Commitments" are parenting goals that can be applied to children at any age. Each chapter outlines a commitment followed by examples we all can relate to. The authors then ask challenging questions that require careful analysis of your reactions to your child's behavior. The small dimensions of the book make it easy to carry in a purse or briefcase so it can be used as a reference, which you will want to do after you have read it! No parent should be without it!

It changed me

Wow! Did this book ever challenge me. I found that The 10 Commitments: Parenting with Purpose invited me to take an honest look at my present style of parenting. I didn't always like what I saw, but because of reading it I have set some new goals for myself as a mother and I like what I am becoming. I found that this book, divided into 10 commitments that Moorman and Haller suggest are necessary for effective parenting, helped me change in a positive way. I changed my mind about parenting. I changed some of my behaviors. And now I am seeing positive change in the outcomes it has produced in my children. I strongly recommend it.
