A treasure hunt in an old house, an encounter with spirits, and a parade of unusual characters greet Ruth Welborne when she leaves Oklahoma and moves into a "dual living house" in Centerbury, Vermont, with her old college roommate. Old friends from Plainview, Oklahoma ("Come Bye") and Blue Fork, Arkansas ("Away to Me") introduce Ruth to a new addiction, Dog Agility, and help her come to terms with the real meaning of "That'll Do."
