Best book for the best state

This is the standard textbook for 7th grade Texas History. It covers the material well. I am fixing to order two more copies.

Weightless in the Bag

This book was purchased because my daughter in the sixth grade was having to carry her history book back and forth from home to school every night. This is her home book, and she has gained seven inches in three weeks from the lack of compression on her spine. The book itself would not have been picked if it had not been the school's curriculum choice, but it does offer a good overview of the history of THE state, along with brief mention of the stuff that happened in the lesser 49. The binding is tight and will wear extremely well. No cons to mention, except for this review - which got a bit annoying. So I will stop before it gets even more so.
