The Terraforming of Venus is based on the first part of a short story called "The Gardner". It is from my Alternate History Illustrated Story Series and was posted on Victorian Space Age in September 2011. It's a story of a few immortals who helped turn a hostile, hellish world into a second Earth, a new world. Yet- in spite of humanity's greatest accomplishments and achievements, humanity can also be its own worst nightmare. The book covers an Alternate History time period from the first manned expedition to Venus in 1783 to the year 2100 when the terraforming of Venus was generally considered complete.
