Backstory, spice, and tender moments... oh my!

4.5* stars. After escaping the dreaded, estrange-lovers-in-a-stuck-elevator scenario, moderately sadistic Kurose and slowly blossoming Shirotani make up from some turbulence in the last volume. The morning after, Shirotani makes progress on his ten-count list, while we get a glimpse into Kurose's childhood, explaining his interest in Shirotani before he got to know him. More detailed opinions will be in volume 6 as it's the final volume in this series. However, I will say I can see more faults in the series as far as red flags of the characters. However, the relationship that is built between Shirotani and Kurose is still one of my favorite stories. You really get to see why Kurose is the way he is, and possibly why his expressions are practically non-existent. Neither man had an easy childhood, and while they're both probably not the best for each other, it's understandable why they gravitate towards one another. With that cliff hanger of a mysterious woman, I am so excited to devour the next volume!
