I usually stay away from self-help books, especially one that promises to give me "what parents need to know to survive the adolescent years"--not because I don't need any help, but because I find the self-help genre to be cloying and overly simplistic, providing cookie cutter solutions to issues that often deserve more respect.What a refreshing change Teen Brain, Teen Mind is!
