I can't say that I was particularly intrigued but needed this book for a class. It served its purpose.
Innovative educational practices using ICT
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 19 years ago
This is the first book I have come across that highlight how ICT is used in classrooms in countries all around the world, and how this is linked to curriculum issues, school policy and so forth. In this sense it is a highly valuable book for both researchers, policy makers and practitioners. The book shows how innovation is defined in different countries and it gives some really good examples on how ICT is used in practical educational settings. Thereby it also makes a valuable sources for discussing 21st century skills. I am working on similar issues in Norway and this book has ben a vauable resource and is highly recommended.
Insights from a large-scale study
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 20 years ago
To reveal my biases in advance, I was on the International Steering Committee for the multi-year study described in this book and wrote the preface for the volume. The research described is very influential in the field, providing rich detail about the varied ways in which different countries construe "exemplary" uses of technology in education, as well as how a nation's educational system policies shape effective implementations and leadership. A valuable resource for people interested in these issues.
