A good survey of the implications of technology on society

This book was written for university undergraduates to help them understand the relationship between technology and society. There are chapters covering the history of technolgical development, the impact of technology on the environment, warfare and technology, the consequences of technological development on the third world, and how technology might affect the future. Each chapter comes with questions, exercises and flow charts to help the reader translate theory into reality.
