Disappointed with this books lack of practical utility.

I enjoyed reading the authors “teaming with microbes”, this book however was a disappointment and a slog to get through. The first 8 chapters (of this 10 chapter volume) are entirely focused on either chemistry, biochemistry or biology. It’s dry, dull, and reminiscent of the worst parts of high school. None of the info presented in those chapters is actionable, it’s all theory that doesn’t serve a practical purpose to the layperson or their garden. If you are a chemist or biologist you probably already know this stuff, and if you’re a gardener you don’t need to know any of it. You are much better off reading “teaming with microbes” instead.
