Hope for the classics

This book helps prove that teaching the classics doesn't have to be boring. Teaching, as well as learning the classics can be a daunting task, but McKnight and Berlage break it down into meaningful, exciting and enriching lessons. I especially enjoy the information included about how to incorporate art and music into lessons of classic literature. I was surprised to find out how many modern songs are based on canonical texts. These and other lessons help connect students with texts that they would otherwise feel completely detached from.
