Excellent study guide for IIS v4.0

The book is a great study guide for the IIS exam. Fourteen days really means 14 chapters, and it can be covered in three days in a cram session. There is some unnecessary stuff in there, devoting a whole chapter to NNTP and Scripting, which don't have too many questions on the exam. Still, it has excellent labs and can serve as a resource after passing the test. I passed with an 811. Don't waste your money on the expensive MS official curriculum. Make sure you have some practice tests like transcenders or CNE Quizzer, and make sure to use MMC.

Great Book

After reading Sams Teach Yourself TCP/IP In 14 Days and passing the exam easily, I had to try this book for the IIS 4 exam. I'm glad I did. Read this book in front of your PC and go through the exercises. This exam has quite a few simulations with Microsoft Management Console, and you'll need to be familar with MMC. I passed the IIS 4 exam with an 854 (MCSE!), and alot of credit should go to this book. I also suggest downloading some free prep exams to be prepared for the types of questions you will be asked. The only problem I had with this book is the glossary doesn't exist, but still gave it 5 stars. Good luck.

Good book to study for the exam.

If you have basic idea how IIS 4 works, this book along with your hands-on experience is good enough to pass the IIS 4 test.

Surprisingly first-rate material

Despite the silly title of the series - you can't learn IIS 4.0 in 14 days - this book is the best I have seen in the market. To teach the course I bought books from many publishers and found that SAM's book has most complete and lucid explanations of various features of IIS 4.0.

I have reviewed several IIS 4 books that are currently available. I highly recommend this book as being the best and most complete. I am a MCSE and MCT. I currently teach this course at an AATP and I recommend this book as the best that I have been able to locate. None of the books I have read are in depth. Including this book. However I have found it to obtain correct and easy to understand information.
