Fine recipes and colorful illustrations dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea. The inside cover contains eight foil-wrapped tea bags of imported, gourmet tea. This description may be from another edition of this product.
As a writer of a tea-themed newsletter, I read a lot of books about tea so that I can review them in my newsletter. Well, I also read them because I REALLY like tea, but many times I'm reviewing rather than reading for my own pleasure. When I picked up a copy of this book, I was just floored by it! Visually, this is an incredible book. The front cover is thick and hollowed out (a surprise) and filled with a selection of teabags from Taylors of Harrogate. Every page in the book has beautifully colored borders or illustrations, making it a visual delight. The information contained is wonderful Tea 101 stuff -- great for a tea-time neophyte, and accurate enough to be enjoyed by more knowledgeable tea people. This book is going to be my "gift of the year" -- the one I end up giving to a lot of people.
