Great copy

The Witching hour series is definitely worth the read. If you like Gothic supernatural novels then give it a read. This is a reread for me as I was collecting all the Anne rice books. This edition was a great library quality copy and I was very pleased with my purchase.

Best Book of the Series!

The final book brings the story to a close quite perfectly.

Taltos

The third book in the Mayfair Trilogy just draws it all together and makes you want more! Anne Rice exceeds all expectations!

Are there aliens in our midst?

After reading The Witching Hour and Lasher, I believe that you will find it impossible to NOT read this book. There is plenty of action in this book. It will keep you on the edge of your seat as Rowan and Michael, the main characters, go to the rescue of a dear friend and simultaneously settle a score. Along the way, they find the answers they never thought they'd get to questions they've long since asked. Once again Anne Rice gives such complete descriptions that you are in the middle of the story next to the characters-involved in all the action. You won't be able to keep from sharing their feelings. Read this book and The Witching Hour and Lasher, if you long for a witch story that is entertaining and close to believable.

Another great one from Anne Rice

I've read several reviews of this book and finally I decided that someone had to come to Taltos's defense. I don't understand why everyone was so disappointed in this novel. I've read Lasher, and though I've attempted The Witching Hour, I found it too boring to finish. Lasher and Taltos are equally brilliant in my mind; maybe someday I'll get around to reading the first in the series, but I don't think it'll equal the greatness of the other two.

WHEN YOU FINISH THE BOOK YOU ASK FOR MORE

Is this really the end of the Mayfair?, I hope not, I read this book in one day I couldn't put it down, but I was expecting something more scaring. When Ash and Morrigan find each other, is like a love story. Anne Rice, please write more about the Mayfair!.

Amazing! One of the Best!

Taltos is the third of the Lives of the Mayfair Witches Trilogy. One of the best,I believe. The Witching Hour was hypnotic, and heavily enthralling. The Lasher novel was a somewhat boring, but the introduction of Mona Mayfair and Lasher's story is essential to the magic of Taltos. The whole story is fiction - but you will believe it. The Mayfairs will become your dearest friends, your close family. Lasher will be your confidante, and you will fall in love with Rice's house at First Street. Like I have, many a night you will probably dream with Julien Mayfair, and other nights try to trace the Mayfair family tree. It is unbelievable how some readers can have such limited imagination to not expand their horizons, and come to fully comprehend this incredibly elaborated story. I, for one, am waiting for a movie. I truly bow at Anne Rice's incredible view and imagination.

Remembering Anne Rice Through Her Hometown, New Orleans
Published by William Shelton • December 20, 2021

With her passing, Anne Rice joins the celestial pantheon of New Orleans writers. New Orleans is a city with a rich literary history, inspiring many writers like Tennessee Williams and Harper Lee. The city enchanted Rice her whole life, so we thought it best to celebrate her and her work through the literary legacy of her hometown.
