I had the feeling that I bumped elbows with each and every one of Tall Island's characters on the street, and probably clinked glasses with them at an opening. A must read, especially for New Yorkers

A smart, sharp sexy and extremely well written book. Loved the characters..felt so familiar...the nuances and portrayl of the characters may seem verry familiar to manhattanites but anyone who is willing to explore who they really are all the emotions seem so global. i loved it. its an easy read but not so easy to digest coz it is too close too home somtimes. u feel like u know these charcters then u realise u are one of them... Its one of the very rare books that is " to the point" that when u finish it u just sit there and re think the whole scenario that the characers went through coz i felt like i was in all of those situation. your past creeps up haunts u..yikes time to see a shrink. LOVED the book so much that it is actually sitting on my desk instead of being sold off at the used book store. Can't wait for the second one....
Loved It!

There's parts so exciting in this book that I kept reading as fast as I could, turning pages quickly; and parts so moving that I read and re-read slowly, digesting every word. I loved all the unassuming and 'right-on' observations on current events-- the kind you'll want to memorize to use in future conversations! But most of all, I loved the characters-- once you get to explore a mind in New York City... I really, really enjoyed Tall Island. As soon as I read the last sentence, I wanted to read it again!
