Practical and Uplifting

Mariah Fenton Gladis has captured the essence of Gestalt therapy at its best. There is practical information in this book that answers content questions that are a foundation for Gestalt Therapy. Then this book reveals the personal stories that chart the path of living life fully and with joy. This book is written for those who are interested in gestalt, therapy, healing, connecting with others, and living life with courage and compassion.

unique approach

I have participated in Mariah's retreat weekends and have repeatedly seen tranformation of pain, anxiety, and heaviness into joy, freedom, and strength. She is a remarkable, gifted healer whose personal struggles have informed her unique approach to gestalt. I was delighted to read her book--the more people she can reach with her healing wisdom, the better. In the book, she shares her personal story and anecdotes from some of her clients. The results are concrete, accessible examples that serve as guideposts to living an emotionally healthy and rewarding life.

Transforming ALS into Victory

Ms. Gladis has written a remarkable book - make that a life-roadmap - for everyone to benefit from. Although "Tales of a Wounded Healer" offers useful, practical, and meaningful guidance for those who are troubled or have unresolved important issues in their lives, it will benefit everyone who reads it. Humans are complex beings - and we all can improve in our relationships with other - and with ourselves. The creative, yet practical, steps she takes in helping her clients (and the book's readers) heal are so eye-opening. They allow one's soul to take - perhaps for the first time - a deep, rewarding, refreshing, and healing breath of spiritual fresh air. I encourage everyone to read this remarkable book written by an even more remarkable person.

Clear and concise

This book is a clear and concise book describing Gestalt practice -- as well as description of Mariah's innovations in Gestalt. If you have an interest in Gestalt or therapy this is a book not to be missed.

Best book on somatic healing

This book is a gem. All spiritual practices have self love as a foundation. This book is a self-love manual especially in the often neglected area of recieving.
